PGDHM in Hospital Management

PGDHM in Hospital Management is a two year full time AICTE approved program designed by Hospital Industry experts to prepare students to work in Hospitals and Healthcare companies. In the first year, students would study basics of healthcare and management. In the second year, students would get specialized in Hospital management / administration stream and learn the management aspects concerned with Hospitals.

PGDHM in Hospital Management / Administration is a specialized course meant for imparting administrative and management skills;to work, manage and lead in Hospital sector. IIHMR Bangalore's PGDHM in Hospital Management / administration aims to prepare students to efficiently work in Operations, Patient care, Quality, Information Management, Marketing, Human Resource, Planning, Strategy, Development, Supply Chain Management, Procedures and documentation of various requirements in hospital sector. The course also covers two months of intensive summer training and 4 months of dissertation (internship) before campus placements; which can help students practically understand and gather knowledge on adequate hospital management and administrative practices to make job ready.

  • Since IIHMR Bangalore is an autonomous Institution approved by AICTE, Ministry of HRD, GoI; we keep upgrading our curriculum as and when required as per the expectation of the Industry. Hence, the curriculum followed by IIHMR Bangalore is very much Industry relevant and need of the hour for people who are willing to shape their career in Public Health sector.

    The course will include two months of summer trainings towards the end of first year, and also 4 months of internship (dissertation work) towards the end of second year.

    Note: The curriculum may be subjected to undergo changes as per the suggestions of AAC (Academic Advisory Council).

    Who can apply for this programme and the eligibility criteria

    Any graduates with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in their graduation along with a valid CAT, MAT, CMAT, XAT, ATMA or GMAT score can apply. Applications are now being accept for PGDHM 2018 - 2020 Batch. You need to apply on or before 15th April 2018 for PGDHM 2018 - 2020 session.

    For Indian army professionals, applying for this course must apply along with study leave sanction letter from Indian army headquarters.  

    Admission Process & Important Dates

    You can apply online for PGDHM 2018 - 2020 session. Once you have submitted online application form; our academics team would review and send the GD / PI (Group Discussion / Personal Interview) call letter. The admission interview (GD/PI) will be held on 22nd April 2018 at IIHMR Bangalore campus. After that, the list of selected students would be displayed in the website. The selected students must deposit 1st Instalment fee within 7 days of announcement of admission; failing which the admission offered will be cancelled. We have an approval from AICTE to take 60 students per year.

    The next round of GD/PI after April 2018 will be subjected to availability of seats and the decision of the management of the college.

    Course commencement date: 2nd July 2018
